Whitby & the surrounding area is
famous for so many reasons - bringing back visitors year on

Located
in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors, Whitby was from
where Captain James Cook began his historic voyages to discover
Australia, the Hawaiian Islands and the New World. His monument
stands proud on the cliff top overlooking the harbour which
he sailed from. The neighbouring cliffs and scars around Whitby
provide evidence of a more volatile period in history when
dinosaurs roamed. At closer inspection you can unearth everything
from ammonite fossils to dinosaur footprints providing you
with a unique Jurassic experience.
